In addition to volume reduction, we realise even greater financial savings potential when melting down the compressed metal briquettes. As it has a lower burn-off during melting compared to loose chips, a higher output of up to 10% can be achieved. That increases the price per tonne of briquettes that can be achieved on the market. The plant is equipped with a centrifuge in which the “wet” chips are de-oiled. Thanks to the centrifuge technology used, the residual hydrocarbon can be reduced to well below 1% of the total quantity.
